Raw ship-based Multibeam Sonar Data acquired during R/V Nathaniel B. Palmer expedition NBP0306 (2004)

Dataset Identification:

Resource Abstract:
This data set was acquired with a ship-based Kongsberg EM120 Multibeam Sonar system during Nathaniel B. Palmer expedition NBP0306 conducted in 2004 (Chief Scientist: Dr. Bruce Luyendyk; Investigator(s): Dr. Bruce Luyendyk and Dr. Lou Bartek). These data files are of MBSystem Compatible format and include Acoustic Backscatter, Swath Bathymetry, and Sidescan data that have not been processed. Data were acquired as part of the project(s): Collaborative Research: Antarctic Cretaceous-Cenozoic Climate, Glaciation, and Tectonics: Site surveys for drilling from the edge of the Ross Ice Shelf, and funding was provided by NSF grant(s): OPP00-87392 and OPP00-88143.
