Processed Multibeam Sonar Data (version 1) from AntarcticPeninsula acquired during Nathaniel B. Palmer expedition NBP0002 (2000)

Dataset Identification:

Resource Abstract:
This data set was acquired with a SeaBeam Instruments model 2112 multibeam sonar system during Nathaniel B. Palmer expedition NBP0002 conducted in 2000 (Chief Scientist: Dr. James Austin). These data files include Swath Bathymetry and Acoustic Backscatter data and were processed at sea using the open source MB-System multibeam sonar processing software. Data were acquired as part of the project(s): The Young Marginal Rift as a Key to Understanding the Rift-Drift Transition and Andean Orogenesis: OBS Refraction Profiling for Crustal Structure in the Bransfield Strait, and funding was provided by the U.S. National Science Foundation.
