Underway Hydrographic, Weather and Ship-state Data (JGOFS) from Nathaniel B. Palmer expedition NBP1107 (2011)

Dataset Identification:

Resource Abstract:
This data set was acquired with a ship-based Echosounder Sonar, Navigation system, Thermosalinograph, Meteorological Sensor, and Fluorometer during Nathaniel B. Palmer expedition NBP1107 conducted in 2011 (Chief Scientist: Dr. Teresa Chereskin). These data files are of JGOFS format and include Fluorescence, Temperature, Meteorological, Infrared Radiation, Navigation, Visible Radiation, Bathymetry, Salinity, and Conductivity data. This data set was created from calibrated data decimated at 1-minute intervals. Several fields are derived measurements from more than a single raw input. Data were acquired as part of the project(s): Collaborative Research: Dynamics and Transport of the Antarctic Circumpolar Current in Drake Passage, and funding was provided by NSF grant(s): ANT06-36493.
